Midwest League Profiles

This section of MWLguide.com has portraits of Midwest League players, managers, and others with MWL ties. Some are here because of their subsequent careers, others because their Midwestern career was notable.

Many of these portraits concentrate on the player's Midwest League season (seasons, in a few cases), though most recognize that there was a subsequent career. A handful describe the context of that player's MWL summer in detail, because I think it's important, or interesting.

Suggestions for further explorations are welcome....

The Midwest League plays Single-A, professional baseball in America's agricultural and industrial heartland. 16 teams play a 140 game schedule which begins in early April and ends Labor Day weekend.
