  • Scouting Report Updates: For Dayton, Fort Wayne, and Wisconsin. Since the Luggies are on the road, I've decided to work from the weakest to strongest teams this time through.
  • A Roster a Weekday: Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Done with the cities! I'll take a little break before reworking the affiliate rosters.

  • My usual weekend activity: I've added several birthdates, positions, and uni numbers, courtesy of former players, their friends, and their families. My thanks to everyone who helps with this stuff.
  • This morning I was reading the 1947 Centralia yearbook (more like a scorecard, actually) and discovered that Marion, Mattoon, and Mount Vernon all had big league affiliations--which differs from what my standard sources have always told me. Made adjustments (minor ones, actually) to a number of pages to reflect this. A researcher's life is just full of little surprises.

  • A Roster a Weekday: Rockford, Illinois. Dave Shultz of the Register-Star was enormously helpful with this one: Thanks!

  • I've added a few birthdates (and positions and uni numbers), on a variety of rosters. My thanks, again, to the players, their friends, and their families for helping fill in the missing information.

  • I've updated the All-Star Game page, the Season Summary page, and the various 2008 team pages to reflect the ASG and the mid-season standings. It's become clear that my job won't let me catch up the team writeups at this point; since the project which has taken over my life has a June 30 drop-dead date, I expect to have time to rework the writeups in early July. My apologies, but I just haven't had either the time or the energy to make them happen this week.

  • Several pages have minor edits. I was planning to do some mid-season updates today, but my job's gone absolutely insane. I'll try to do some work tomorrow.
  • A Roster a Weekday: Peoria, Illinois.

  • I've added birthdates to several players on the appropriate rosters. In all cases, those were provided by the players or their near relatives; my thanks to all those folks. (I'm going off-line for a few days; see you Wednesday.)

  • A Roster a Weekday: Paducah, Kentucky. A New Page! (Sorry about yesterday's late posting; we had a power outage.)

  • Scouting Report revisions: Dayton & Kane County.
  • A Roster a Weekday: Marion, Illinois. A New Page!
  • I see that I originally created this "last changed" page twelve years ago today. My thanks to my loyal readers....

  • I've begun the monthly stats revisions to the 2008 Team Pages; at this point the team data is current, and I'll get the player stats straight over the course of the week. I'm planning to revise the team writeups later this month; I'm far too busy at work to produce coherent analyses this week.
  • A Roster a Weekday: Lafayette, Indiana. A New Page!
