Baseball in BurlingtonCommunity FieldCommunity Field has hosted the Burlington franchise of the Midwest League since the team joined the MWL in 1962. Prior to that, it housed Burlington teams in the Central Association and the Three-I League. The facility was new in 1947, but was completely rebuilt after a fire on June 8, 1971 (reconstruction was completed during 1973). Center field was extended by moving the outfield fences after the 1997 season. Community Field hosted the Midwest League All-Star Game in 1977 and 1983.
