Baseball in Danville

Danville Stadium

Danville Stadium hosted all three Danville franchises in the Mississippi-Ohio Valley and Midwest Leagues. This ballpark was new in 1946 and has been refurbished since. It was host for part of the playing field filming for the John Goodman film, "The Babe," where the facility masqueraded as Forbes Field & Fenway Park. Danville Stadium remains in use as host to the Danville Dans of the Central Illinois Collegiate League.

Danville Stadium hosted the Midwest League All-Star Game in 1971.
