Baseball in PaducahBrooks StadiumBrooks Stadium hosted the Paducah Chiefs in the MWL predecessor Mississippi-Ohio Valley League in 1949 and 1950. The ballpark is still in use and hosts American Legion and high school baseball. I'm looking for a suitable photograph of Brooks Stadium--preferably one which is not already available on another website. Drop me a line if you can help. Source of Name: Brooks Stadium was named for J. Polk Brooks, who constructed the ballpark in 1948. Brooks was Vice President of the Mississippi-Ohio Valley League while his team was active in our league. |
