Skeeter Barnes

Four Midwest League seasons:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Reds, 16th round, 1978 (2B, University of Cincinnati).
  • Professional Career: Long minor league career spent mostly in the American Association, with cups of coffee at Cincinnati and St. Louis; then three years as a bench player with Detroit.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

Skeeter is a rather conventional manager; his teams have run bases fairly aggressively.
