Midwest League Managers

Ken Berry

The Bandit

One Midwest League season:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: White Sox, free agent, 1961 (outfielder, Wichita State University).
  • Professional Career: Played in the American League for fourteen years, mostly with the White Sox. Two gold gloves.
  • Midwest League: Played for Clinton in 1961.

Management style

While Berry's stats show him as being within the normal range for all the factors I track, all of them were on the edge; he liked to control the game, and expected his players to be pretty aggressive.
