Midwest League Managers

Doug Dascenzo

Two MWL seasons, plus 2009:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Cubs, 1985, 12th round
  • Professional Career: 14 years, mostly as a "Quadruple-A" player splitting time between the Iowa Cubs and their Chicago parent; also played for Texas and San Diego.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

Neither of Dascenzo's teams has run much, so far. Otherwise, he's been fairly conventional.

Sources

My standard sources are described here.

The Midwest League plays Single-A, professional baseball in America's agricultural and industrial heartland. 16 teams play a 140 game schedule which begins in early April and ends Labor Day weekend.
