Midwest League Managers

Duffy Dyer

Two Midwest League seasons:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: New York Mets, 1st round, 1966 June secondary draft (Catcher; Arizona State University)
  • Professional Career: Fourteen big league seasons, mainly with the Mets and the Pirates.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

While Dyer was never a particularly aggressive manager, his game strategies have grown very conservative as he's aged. His teams have never been prone to taking the extra base.
