Adrian Garrett

Smokey

One Midwest League season:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Braves, free agent, 1960 (Sarasota HS)
  • Professional Career: Your classic "Quadruple-A" player: Nineteen professional seasons, with occasional major league stints. Appeared in a total of 163 games over eight seasons with the Braves, Cubs, Athletics, and Angels; also spent three summers in Japan.
  • Midwest League: Played for Davenport in 1961 and with Cedar Rapids in 1962.

Management style

Garrett's managing style was fairly conventional except he was extremely unlikely to call for an intentional walk.
