Midwest League Managers

Bob Herold

Two Midwest League seasons:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Royals, evidently a free agent, 1971 (University of Nebraska at Omaha--NAIA All-American).
  • Professional Career: 1 minor league season.
    • Herold's UNO bio reports several years of professional international baseball, which I've not been able to verify.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

When he was managing professional players, Herold's pitchers rarely threw complete games and rarely issued intentional walks; on offense, his teams ran, and ran well.
