Midwest League Managers

Dub Kilgo

One Midwest League season:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Not drafted. (Kilgo pitched for Baylor University in 1974 & 1975.)
  • Professional Career: Did not play professionally
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

Kilgo's teams were super-aggressive--and super-successful.

Kilgo played for the Waco, Texas, team representing the South in the 1965 Little League World Series. He has apparently coached at Baylor University (including 1977), Waco's McLennan Community College (including 1980), and Arizona State University (including 1990). I'd fill in the collegiate details below if I had more information. He is working as a coach affiliated with Waco's Buzz Lightning Baseball Academy.

My standard sources are described here.

The Midwest League plays Single-A, professional baseball in America's agricultural and industrial heartland. 16 teams play a 140 game schedule which begins in early April and ends Labor Day weekend.
