Midwest League Managers

Bill Lachemann

Four Midwest League seasons:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Signed with Brooklyn Dodgers, 1955.
  • Professional Career: 6 minor league seasons, mostly in the lower classifications--plus one 1982 game for Fresno, where he was coaching.
  • Midwest League: Played for Kokomo in 1956.

Management style

Although there's some variation from season to season, Lachemann's record shows that he likes sacrifice bunts, hates intentional walks, and he prefers his starters to throw complete games. Generally speaking, his teams haven't stolen a lot of bases, though some of his teams have run quite well.
