  • Professional Career: Played professionally for 17 years, including 128 major league games spread over four seasons with four different clubs. Mostly played at the Triple-A level; ended his playing career with three seasons in independent baseball.
  • Midwest League: Played for Burlington in 1989.

Management style

Mitchell's been a fairly conventional manager in his first two seasons.

The Midwest League plays Single-A, professional baseball in America's agricultural and industrial heartland. 16 teams play a 140 game schedule which begins in early April and ends Labor Day weekend.
