Midwest League Managers

Casey Parsons

One Midwest League season:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Giants, free agent, 1976 (Gonzaga University).
  • Professional Career: Eleven professional seasons in a variety of organizations, largely at the Triple-A level. Appeared in 63 major league games with the Mariners, White Sox, and Indians.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

More than most managers, Parsons seems to have adapted his tactics to his players. He was an early adopter of strong pitch limits, likely because he worked in Oakland's organization, but was otherwise unusually patternless in his year-to-year managerial practice.
