Midwest League Managers

Bill Plummer

One Midwest League season:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Cubs, free agent, 1965 (Catcher, Shasta Community College)
  • Professional Career: Fifteen professional seasons, ten at the major league level, largely with the Reds.
  • Midwest League: Played for Cedar Rapids in 1965.

Management style

Plummer really likes to call for the sacrifice bunt; he's far more likely to do so than your typical minor league manager. When he was younger his teams issued lots of intentional passes, but that's no longer his practice.
