Midwest League Managers

Brian Poldberg

Five Midwest League seasons:

Playing Career

  • Signed: Yankees, apparently a free agent, 1980 (Emporia State University)
  • Professional Career: Six professional seasons, half at the Triple-A level, in the Yankees and Royals organizations. Also pitched in one game at Appleton (where he was coaching) in 1987.
  • Midwest League: One game at Appleton, while he was coaching the team in 1987

Management style

Brian's a rather conservative manager; intentional walks are rare, and he only lets runners advance when it's a sure thing.
