Midwest League Managers

Tom Poquette

One Midwest League season:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Royals, fourth round, 1970 (Outfielder, Memorial HS [Eau Claire, WI]).
  • Professional Career: 13 professional seasons, seven of them as a spare outfielder for the Royals (mostly), Red Sox, and Rangers.
  • Midwest League: Played for Waterloo in 1971.

Management style

When he was managing, Poquette's tactical decisions were generally pretty conservative--except he was clearly willing to exploit a player with special skills.
