  • Drafted/Signed: Pirates, first round, 1980, 23rd selection (Shortstop, South Gate [California] HS)
  • Professional Career: Fifteen professional seasons, mainly at the Triple-A level in a variety of organizations. Appeared in 184 major league games with Florida (mostly), Pittsburgh, and Seattle. He spent two years in the Mexican League, where he shined.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

Management style

The Midwest League plays Single-A, professional baseball in America's agricultural and industrial heartland. 16 teams play a 140 game schedule which begins in early April and ends Labor Day weekend.
