Midwest League Managers

Luis Salazar

Two Midwest League seasons:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Royals, free agent, 1973
  • Professional Career: Nineteen professional seasons, thirteen of those in the major leagues, usually as a full-time utility infielder (and occasionally in the outfield). Played mainly for the Padres (three separate stints) and the Cubs, with brief stops with the ChiSox and the Tigers.
  • Midwest League: Played briefly for Appleton--apparently a rehab stint--in 1986.

Management style

All in all, Salazar's been a pretty conventional minor league manager throughout his career.
