Midwest League Managers

Garry Templeton

One Midwest League season:

Playing Career

  • Drafted/Signed: Cardinals, first round (13th selection), 1974 (Shortstop, Santa Ana [CA] Valley HS).
  • Professional Career: Sixteen major league seasons with the Cardinals and the Padres, with a brief NY Mets stop at the end of his career.
  • Midwest League: Never played in the Midwest League.

  • Management style

When he was working in the Angels system, which is where we've got detailed breakdowns, Templeton was a fairly conventional manager. He doesn't much like issuing intentional walks.
