Midwest League 1975All-Star GameAll-Stars 6, Iowa Oaks 2Davenport (Quad City), Monday, July 14, 1975The 1975 Midwest League All-Star Game was played at John O'Donnell Stadium in Davenport on July 14, 1975. A team of the league's best players, selected by the league's managers and sports writers, faced the American Association's Iowa Oaks. The All-Star pitchers stopped the Iowa hitters, who didn't get a hit until the eighth or a run until the ninth. Quad Cities pitcher Jim Dorsey got the win, while Dan Larson took the loss for the Oaks. Charlie Beamon and Steve Plut both had strong days at the plate for the Stars. |
