Midwest League 1980All-Star GameNorth 6, South 1Davenport (Quad Cities), Iowa, Saturday, June 21, 1980The 1980 Midwest League All-Star Game was played at John O'Donnell Stadium in Davenport on June 21, 1980. Two teams of the league's best players, as selected by the circuit's managers, faced off for league supremacy. The Southern Stars scored first, then let the game get away in the fifth as the Northerners scored four runs. Four batters got two hits apiece for the North. Ed Nunez of Wausau was the winning pitcher; Quad City's Rick Renwick was tagged with the loss. |
